Well this might sound a little too noobish too many users, but I haven’t found it at the first time so I will help others find it.
Adding a program to the start-up isn’t so difficult in Ubuntu. Almost like in Microsoft Windows.

You are sick of not having a clean dekstop, and want to remove the mounted drive icons, heres a tutorial how to remove them:

The procedure is very simple.
You’ll need to open your Run Application.
Just press Alt+F2.
Type gconf-editor and press enter.

After that go to Apps –> Nautilus –> Desktop and uncheck the volumes_visible option

Done.
